We partner with local justice systems to strengthen them and ensure people are protected.

OVERVIEW

Community Protection Model

Right now, 50 million people are trapped in slavery. 1 in 4 is a child – that’s the equivalent of every child in England and Wales.

We believe every person deserves freedom and justice. Our team works with authorities and partners in 33 regions across 19 countries to combat slavery, trafficking, violence against women and children, and police abuse of power.

Children, women, and men face the reality of modern slavery, exploitation, and abuse every day, as people in power prey on the vulnerabilities that poverty creates. IJM partners with governments and organisations around the world to build safer communities by focusing on four areas of development that are proven to bring transformation that lasts:

  • Icon Strengthen Justice Systems
